Who shot the missile in Lions of Thebus?

I am about to run Lions of Thebus and I was wondering if anyone took the adventure beyond what is written? Someone shot the Ihatai ship down, but who was it? I have been brainstorming a few ideas, but I was curious what others used (mainly to see if your ideas are better than mine).
One idea is that it was a hunting guild or gaming commission trying to prevent the Aslan from coming to Thebus, because it would ruin their business model. They saw the ship and acted quickly by shooting it down.
Another idea is that it was Petyr Vallis, since he does work that region and he hates Aslan.
I was thinking rival Ihatai, or maybe a rich douche hunter with way too much firepower and little regard for others.
The last idea, which is maybe a stretch, but is just an idea... One of Ftahteas' other brothers are jealous because their father will not give anything to the latter sons. He only helps Ftahteas and the 1st son. So, perhaps this younger brother put something in motion to get Ftahteas killed. I know Aslan are all about the clan, but brothers fight... and not being the 1st or 2nd in Aslan culture has got to be rough on the self esteem. lol
I'd like to hear your ideas and input. Thanks all!!

I haven’t played the adventure, but your ideas are all good ones. I’d suggest looking at from the standpoint of what do you need down the road? If a rich douche hunter will be a useful npc/patron/villain down the road, go with that. If a young reckless Aslan 3rd son will help you with the Aslan adventures, set it up it that way. So use what you think will give your players a good adventure (which any of your ideas could do), and will give you something to work with for later.

Yup they all seem plausible. My group didn’t find out but they may do should they dig a little deeper but they seemed happy enough to just move on right now.

That was my first idea, but with a bigger culprit: Thebus Highport Corporation.
Even if this corporation "takes care of its own business and more or less ignores the planet below" (page 4), I doubt they could operate a private starport if Thebus becomes an Aslan world.
And I'm fairly sure they're using pirate allies to get rid of the stray cats loitering in the yard below , too (because saving the pirates in The Game of Sun and Shadow -Pirates of Drinax, book 1, page 166- "may move a Tolerant or better port -Thebus- towards Haven").

I like it alot! May use that one day. Of course, who’s behind the Thebus highport Corporation can be manipulated as well.
