there is no reason you can't use Gravitic shifters, however, they only alter the direction of the target vessel, not the position.

Yes you have to actively choose if you want to use a jump point. If you choose not to, then you don't enter it.

Yes, another beardy little nightmare, by Drakh Scout. It can even, in campaign, get a Refit to get Self-Repair, too. My word, this little hellbomb of a ship can get hard to kill.

Retching is a perfectly valid human response to that. I'll politely wait for you to clean up.

Seriously, haven't we learned our lessons about Patrol-level scouts? Pleeeease?

I run fleets with two of 'em (Dilgar Jashakar, Drakh Scout) and I find them a problem with any defense at all. Even the Jashakar, with zero stealth and Hull 4, verges on the edge of a problem ship. Forget anything with something like ... a defensive system. Ew.

EDIT: Whoops! Boy, did I screw up -- my apologies! It's the Light Raider that can get to Dodge, Stealth, and GEG, not the scout. My bad entirely. It also, though a refit, has access to Self-Repair; a big deal.
 
Layered defenses are just problematic...especially layered die roll defense that eliminate hits rather that mitigate damage. Stealth and dodge? Remind me to bring a bat to the table.

Now that said Katadder did say it is not stealthy not patrol. It is skirmish and dodgey (is that a word...and if so how do you spell it?).

I actually can't complain about a skirmish scout with some dodge. If it is of the 3+ variety I will of course retrieve that bat mentioned earlier. We had the issue with hordes of 3+ dodge ships running about, no need to recreate the WS issue at skirmish is there...no of course not....

(Actually hoping this is a nice balanced WS mini with minimal weapon load...couple of AD of pulsar is fine...and no fighters. Then have a combat variant maybe with with the four AD and maybe a flight but only about 6 in the damage catagory.
