White Star Fighters

I was reading the armageddon book and saw the white star fighters. It says skirmish (1 wing) but theres no list at the start saying how many flights you get for a skirmish point, so i was wondering if anyone could tell how many you should get per point, or do you only get one, if so this makes them very expensive. Answers from someone from Mongoose would be very appreciated 8)

You do indeed only get one, however look at their stats compared to any other fighter...

Plus this is why most people just take a WS Carrier instead (You get 8 of them plus the Carrier (which is a Fleet Carrier))...

yeah i suppose. I know that they are better than the other fighters but they still seem a little expensive. Does one white star fighter really equal 6 starfury or thunderbolts?

They are absolutely devestating when bought with the carrier - which is, I think the only way to go.

Extra +1 Dogfight and 5+ save - very nice.

dont worry valen. from what I understand, we are getting a real ship in 2e for skirmish. I like the wsf, but not for a skirmish point.

god nooooooooooo....no more patorl level scouts....

sigh...well hopefully everyone will get one now....at least the ISA 'may' stop stealing all the vaarls now....I say may cause I'm not sure a blue star will have stealth 5+ equivalent.

Great, just what we need, more warships with redicusaves. Maybe 5+ stealth AND a 3+ dodge, you know just to make all us non ISA players want to strangle the player across the table. :D

you forgot adaptive armour, shields, interceptors and "dodgy rule"

ie - the script says I can't be hit before turn 3!? and even then it doesn't really cause damage just makes the crew fall over.

no to the stealth anyway. as if anything would be that overpowered as to have dodge, interceptors, stealth, shields and dont forget the GEG

How about Super Advanced Jump Point - it can open a jump point and send other peoples ships into hyperspace?

That got me wondering, if a ship opened up a jump point or gate, could a brakari ship which can move enemy ships make it travel into the jump point thus out of the battle?
