White Star Enforcer

In the Play test Rules a mention is made about the white star enforcer. I saw nothing to give stats, ISD's, Pri level etc etc. Can someone clarify this please?

My sheet says White star and White star 2. So quiet clearly the raid level options.
 
Matt mentioned it in the intro to S&P 59 saying it was basically a White Star command ship, but no details were given. Not sure why it wasn't included in the list of playtest stuff.

I guess that's because Matt has kept some stuff back, so that you will buy the book - the variants, the admirals and...

We still have to buy the books, since they aren't posting the final rules here, only the play test ones. And obviously you can't be playing the play test rules officially (except for official playtesting...).

I'm hoping the Enforcer is a gunship variant and not another white star variant.
 
It sounds like it will be Whitestar variant. The power shortage issue the WSI and WSII have are not present in the Whitestar Enforcer according to the Playtest material.

Given the commentary in the White Star and White Star II rules from the playtest document I'd have to say you are probably hoping in vain.

blah... I'd really like to see more hulls get fielded. ISA always seems like just these WS hordes with some BS thrown in from time to time (ok, sure that's what it was in the show, but still) it would be nice to see the gunship model on the board more often.

I'm very against single hull fleets :/ There are how many different models available for ACtAs and you are using only one design?! :roll:

The current playtest rules state:
The White Star and White Star II may only roll 1 Attack Dice for their Improved Neutron Laser if they also fire their Molecular Pulsars or use the Close Blast Doors and Activate Defence Grid! Special Action. Note that this rule does not apply to the White Star Enforcer, as their re-routed power systems allow the use of all weaponry.

So are you saying that the enforcer should be included with the restricted firing also? What is the enforcer losing to gain the command rating?
 
It could be that they don't have the same problem because they solved the problem by rerouting through areas they couldn't before .... because there were guns in the way.
 
Well I understand from the fluff printed why they wouldn't be restricted, but I got the impression from Triggy that they are supposed to be restricted also.
 
Could the restriction be that it is unique? So since they tend to run so many White Star's (like it should be during the series), they get one Command variant, and that one variant gets a small bonus, counteracting the nerf that only allows us to fire 1AD for our beams.

I wanted them restricted - there's a world of difference :)
 
So in a 5pt Raid game we now get 5 Enforcers instead of 5 regular WSs? That's an improvement - not.

That went over my head.

I guess in my introductory game we didn't really cover crew, or command, so maybe when I understand what the rules for that represents... then that joke might make more sense to me =)

Isn't taking 5 Veteran versians of a ship, for the sake price, a good thing?
