Where to get Call to arm models in Europe?

Mongoose
Hiya. Have been lately interested in buying some call to arm models but after Mongoose seems to have stopped selling models no idea where. ADB's store is not that convenient as it's from USA right? Expensive shipping and import fees to boot :-<

Are there any european stores that sells them?

I have seen very small amounts of "A Call to Arms" models in the UK shops - but I think they are from before the "change of model" i.e. ADB taking over the distribution etc. I don't think there is any UK or European distributor nowadays.

Black Hat Miniatures were supposed to be distributing some of the miniatures. Try contacting them and seeing if you can order through them? They have some of the older Federation Commander mini's in stock, and Jean Sexton indicated a while ago that Black Hat would probably be the main UK distributor. Seems a real shame if ADB's reshuffling kills the game off outside of the US when it could be avoided.

So far there hasn't been a store willing to distribute to the UK. We priced the ships at a direct-to-consumer price and the stores aren't willing to take the slim profit margin we can offer them. :(

I have to ask, Jean - is there any way around this? The postage rates from ADB to the UK are too high for the individual player but commercial companies want more discount than ADB can actually afford. Is there no way some sort of compromise or half-way point can be achieved? If not then it may result in the game dying off over here.

Rick, we remain open. The stores have wanted to have deep discounts, more than we can afford to give them.

Don't forget that you can use the Starline 2400s to play the game. Those are still stocked in the UK.

Don't forget that the shopping cart charges the maximum charge and we reduce it when it is less than that. You can always email Leanna and ask her the actual shipping price. YOu might find out that it is less than you expect.

Unless you have decidedly lower than other companies doubtful. Also then I need to factor in 24% addition to both miniatures AND postage for import fees.

I suppose the other thing that 'could' be done but would not be idea would be just allow the stores to sell the figures at a higher price, it would make them more expensive for the consumer but would allow them to have a bigger profit without hurting the ammount that ADB gets.

Ah, so the problem is that the stores want to pay ADB less for the models, not that they want to charge more?

I can sort of see that. Selling models for not that big game for higher price than other stores can be kinda risky business deal. Especially the price might become easily high enough that it's actually better for customer to simply pay the shipping+import fee and get them faster(unlikely stores could keep large standing amount of models so they would have to order the models to them first anyway)
