When do you launch Suicide Shuttles?

The section on shuttles says a shuttle can be launched any time in the movement phase, which is clear enough. The section on suicide shuttles says suicide shuttles are launched immediately during the movement phase. Does this mean:

1) Suicide shuttles must be launched before the ship moves, since special actions are declared at the start of the movement phase?

2) During the movement phase of the turn they are launched?

I'm going with "immediately in this movement phase" means that you have to launch it during this movement phase, just to prevent anyone from thinking the SS could be held and launched in a latter turn.
You are also referenced to the Shuttledraft rules on page 20:
To Launch a shuttlecraft, simply place it within 1 inch of the launching ship at any time in the movement phase...
Then under suicide shuttles... The shuttle moves normally as soon as it is launched...

Combining these rules, I think the intent is for suicide Shuttles to act in the same manner regular admin shuttles do.
You declare the Launch Suicide Shuttle special action at the start of hte launching ships movement phase...
At any point during this movement phase, you place the suicide shuttle 1 inch from the launching ship...
You complete the launching ships movement...
The suicide shuttle then behaves exactly as an admin shuttle until it contacts its target...
At which point it explodes durign the end phase.

Do suicide shuttles detonate on contact with the base or with the post of the target ship? I would assume post but I just want to make sure. With the short distance of shuttle movement, it seems like the shuttle would have to do a lot of chasing to catch a ship.
