What TL are Low Berths?

I would have thought FF&S would mention this at least, but it doesn't give a TL for Low Berths at all (it gives cost and tonnage, but that's it)! Can't find a mention in CT High Guard either, but presumably since starships have them they're at least TL 9.

TL 8 or 9 sounds reasonable though.

We're close - we can freeze all sortsa stuff....reviving is just a touch of a problem. Cell cultures- fine, organs - iffy, people - hmmm NEXT!.

I would say late TL8 or early TL9. Before the discovery of the Jump Drive (which per TMB is late TL9).

The idea of sublight sleeper ships is something that is used several times within the history of the 3I; the Islands Cluster was settled that way, as were the Sword Worlds.

One house rule that I use is to give a DM to survival equal to the TL - 9 (so a TL 10 cryo unit gets a +1 to all survival rolls). Alternately, you could treat the TL as a stat and use the stat bonus for survival rolls...
