What Setting Do You Use?

The Dark Sun setting stole my heart, and the RQ system ran away with it. I tinkered with the rules way back to adopt to my own version of Dark Sun, left it there for years (the same drill mentioned above counts for me) and now I am back dreaming about revisting Athas with those gorgeous RQ2 rules.

My campaign is set in the 3rd Age around Pavis (River of Cradles, Prax). That is why I'm eagerly awaiting the 2nd Age Pavis book (to do some time-travel between Ages!). :D

OK, and now paying closer attention to your questions:

Play Glorantha? 2nd age? 3rg age? Young Kingdoms? Homebrew? Part homebrew, part published setting?
I play in Glorantha, 3rd age, .

Wheres your longest running campaign been set? Rules?

This campaign has been running for 3 years and is set around Pavis, the Zola Fel Valley and Prax. We use RQ3 with houserules for divine magic.

Best details/features of your campaign setting? What worked? What didnt work so well?

Pavis and Prax are excellent areas to set campaigns in, as they provide many opportunities for adventure and exploration. The published products provide tons of information about the different cultures that populate the land and there is room for almost anything you can think of. I have been using all the published modules set in this area that I have been able to find and giving them a unifying theme. On the one hand, the players seem to be liking the plot and the diversity of adventure. On the other hand, I'd like to make it more sandbox, so that they can choose their own path instead of me finding ways and reasons for them to go there. The final destination is the liberation of Pavis from the Lunars, but I guess we should work together more on the PCs' motivations. Also, I try to include details in the campaign that only have some significance some scenarios later, and, as we play twice a month at the most, the players often forget those details.

Published modules? Sandbox-type gaming?

Mainly published modules because they save time, but I also devise some of my own from time to time to fit the needs of the story and the PCs' backgrounds. As I said, I'd love to turn it into a sandbox, but first the PCs must finish a couple of missions under their current employer and then we'll see.

For published books with scenarios set in Prax/Pavis, check Simon Phipp's excellent website:
http://www.soltakss.com/pavis01.html
And to this, you have to add the campaign "Borderlands & Beyond" published by Moon Design. http://index.rpg.net/display-entry.phtml?mainid=797, which is the part I'm currently running!

By the way, all of these can be used under MRQI and II without much rules tinkering.
