What Scale?

You are in the UK, so you will probably want to go with the 1/3000 scale ships from NavWar.

Here in the States we have more room and use 1:2400s from Panzerschiffe! LOL!!

Yeah, I'm going to be ordering Victory at Sea myself soon and I was looking to see what scale to go with. Since I'm in the US and everyone with a US listing is picking 1/2400 I'll probably go with that scale.

So if a US player faces off against a UK player what happens then?

There are some 1/2400 players in the UK, but in my experience 1/3000 is far and away more popular (and I suppose it helps that the major companies working in that scale are British too)

The US player has all his target numbers reduced by 1 due to the large size of his ships. . . but all his weapons gain +1DD due to the larger sized shells!

A 1:2400 scale Iowa is a nearly unstoppable horror against a 1:3000 fleet! LOL!!

I'm going with Navwar, but I'd get GHQ if
a) I had the money, and
b) they had the range.

You're obviously not used to GW prices. £8-£10 for a capital ship model, at that level of quality, isn't bad. You guys must be really tight-fisted or something... :P

They are fine. My 1/3000 collection is probably 60% Skytrex, 40% Navwar

Pretty much my entire WW1 collection and most of my moderns are Skytrex.
