What scale are the SF minis?

It's all in the thread title I was wondering what scale the minis are made in?

how do you know or figure out how to determine the scale?

The size of the Enterprise and D7s are known from the early, McMasters blueprints.
Take that length and divide by the length of the Starline 2500 Federtion Heavy Cruiser, and you get 1:3125 scale.

That, plus Matthew has told us many times that the entire Starline 2500 range of minis is being done to 1:3125 scale.

To follow up on what ScoutDad said, the "E" was set to a known scale based on the blueprints and other "official" data. All other ships are scaled to match using a lot of "That Looks About Right " (T'Lar) discussion on the ADB board. There are a couple that I felt were "wrong", but I got out-voted. For the most part, however, everyone is very happy with the results.
