Hi i'm new to the forums and Judge Dredd miniatures I was just wandering are citadel paints recommened ? and also are citadel glues recommended and if so what kind of glue citadel super glue or citadel plastic glue ?

Welcome to the forum!

With paint, it's all a matter of personal preference. Citadel paints should be absolutely fine (I've used them on some of my Judge Dredd miniatures); some painters prefer different brands for different things, but as I say, it's all a matter of what works for you. It's perfectly fine to mix paints from different companies, too, but stick to acrylic paints if you're quite new to painting (and don't mix acrylic and enamel unless you really know what you're doing).

The currently available Judge Dredd minis are all metal, so stick to super glue, 'cos plastic glue won't do anything. Like with paints, it's okay to use different super glue if you like (and I actually prefer to use cheaper stuff, as Citadel super glue doesn't set fast enough for my liking).

So, if you've got Citadel paints and super glue, you're already set up. :D

Thanks for the info. The citadel paints are easy for me to use as I also play 40k :D and I am looking forward to starting my justice department force.

If you're getting results with using Citadel paints, then stick with 'em. I use them and have been happy with the finished product!

I'd stick with whatever works for you, but don't be afraid to experiment once in a while. I generally use cheap superglue ratehr than any brand-name as I think it has the same effect on metal and plastic.

For paint I use a varienty - for my Judges I use a Revell dark blue that I originally bought for French napoleonic shakos, Games Workshop's camo green that I bought for WW2 commandos and MP's sand yellow that I bought for Urban Mammoth's Junkers that I painted in a desert style...
