What kind of tools...

...or special methods do you use for playing? To measure distances, angles and such so that you don't move ships or counters, you can reach ships in the middle of concentration of minis, how you can do it fast and easily?

I've never actually played a game that needs measuring distances, I've always used hexes/squares/sectors.

common sense more than anything, don't bunch ships up, agree extra bits of movement here and there to keep it tidy. For measurement a standard 5M tape measure in B+Q costs 99p, thats about 50 cents stateside, no idea what it is in euros! For turning/angles, and confirming fire arcs, you can't go wrong with the GF9 template, available online at hobbybox, and other stockists. GF9 also do some nice markers for targeting, and special actions, very handy and cheap too i would definately reccomend them. You can also use the template for distance if you choose, it's fine for narn as few ships move more than it measures!

Other way round hiff, roufly £1 = $2

Yeh but when with an opponent agree everything with him. So say I move this ship 4" then turn 45o it might not be exact but its ok. And if you turn too far he can show you.

Just dont be too Anal.

I wish it was 1 Pound = 50 cents US. I would consider coming to the Mongoose Campaign day then.

Bog-standard tape measure, fire arcs painted on to bases (dots at 45 degree intervals), home-made SA and damage markers, ship stats and reference sheets (OpenOffice and my local print shop)

Tape measure, 24" ruler when playing with my son (he's 7 so the tape measure is a little dangerous). As for measuring arcs. I bought a 50c protractor and cut a wedge out in the middle of the flat side. Then marked the 45 degree and boresight marks with a Sharpe. Works just as well as the GF9 one but only costs 1/20th the price.
