What is so great about Paranoia? Why should I be playing it?

You should play Paranoia because of the crazy group dynamics!

The GM can set characters up like a game of mouse trap where hey have conflicting missions, rival jobs, rival secret societies, or anything else diabolical.

Then when one character harmlessly asks another "Have you heard Vats Electric?" there comes a massive fire fight!

Once I was playing a radio very loudly, and not very well tuned in. When they asked me to turn down the radio, I said "What radio?"

It was a good game! No one ever got to debriefing, I think it was the shooting down the paper minitures with rubberbands, that ended the game.

Except Macho Women with Guns. Extra life is a special feat. Oh and Time Lord but when you regenerate you change personality drastically.
Let me rephrase that, it is the only game "I" knew of that allowed for bonus lives. Now it is not the only game I know of that allows characters a painless resurrection.

Regeneration is far from painless. You have to hand your character over to somebody else who gives it a new personality and set of skills selected randomly!

And how is that more painfull than leveling up a cleric so he can use eigth-level spells and grind up some quality diamonds (about several thousand GP worth) to make into a spell component.

If you're not mad about Paranoia, you should get off the boards! The initials of my name spell MAD, so I never worry much about that.
