What is my Dilgar fleet missing?

Poi

Mongoose
At the moment I have:

Mishakur

Tikrit
Wahant

3 Targrath
4 Omelos

4 Ochlavita
3 Rohric

2 Jashakar Vi (conversions)
14 bases of Thorun Dartfighters

I definitely need to add a Garasoch and some Torpedo Thoruns, and I fancy a Mankhat and a second Tikrit.

Do I need anything else, or to increase my numbers of anything I already have?

Yup! More Jashakars, four is about the minimum =)

All Dilgar weaponry benefit from using a scout to paint something, so u need two scouts in almost every battle. Then u also want a few torpedo jashakars

U seem to have a good fleet there otherwise...Maybe another Tikrit, and definetly Torpedofighters, they are good fighters, but it depends highly on the opponent.

Having just converted to the Dilgar, my advise might not be the best.

I've a love of the following ships,

Jashakar Tae-Class Torpedo Ship.

To me this is the best Patrol level ship in the game. For such a low PL it is a brick, and a brick that can if used correctly (ie Pack hunters) can destroy most levels of capital ships.

Mankhat-Class Dreadnought.

Open up with both Advanced Anti-Ship Missiles and watch enemy ships turn into space dust, next turn do the no brainer SP (CBD) while it reloads... rinse and repeat. It also has a nice amount of Heavy Bolters to punch enemy fleets with.

I'm planning my fleet around these 2 ships. Dilgar shouldn't be friendly

I dont know much about dilgar but they seem a good race to play but i may suggest another mishakur and 2 more Wahants they look pretty good. Mayby some more dart-fighters can never have enought fighters

I don't rate any of the assault ships in normal scenarios - too slow, not enough firepower. Their only advantage is being damage sponges.

For planetary assault scenarios, however, they reign supreme, although the Wahant has to be the slowest ship out there with a mere 4" movement.

It is like opening up that first can of really fine BEER on a friday evening after studying a hole week. SUPREME!

I can see its large and very obvious charms (quick, somebody crack an Ivanova joke!) but I'm a Mishakur fan myself. Just seems to have more weapons up front and more general utility. It's swings and roundabouts, though, really, both have their advantages.

Well if it would be "for real", the battle that is, I would not go with a Mankhat either, the gorram ship is just a weapon, no armour or anything else 8)

...on the other hand if you would happened to meet a Mankhat infront of you in a battle you should start praying it´s missiles are reloading

Khatrik So's. It's a specialized ship; you don't take Targraths or Tikrits, just Wahants, Rohrics, Jashakar Vi, Garasoch, and the occasional Mishakur. This is a brick of a fleet that can easily leverage the most powerful special action in the game, Close Blast Doors. You use your fighters as temporary interceptors. Damaging this fleet is extremely hard with anything short of hordes of beams.

While slow, the 2 45's in 5" for the Rohrics provide adequate rear coverage, as do the Aft Missiles from the odd Wahant. Scout redirects to give you the CAF effect on the Heavy Bolters are necessary, but with any terrain and the 36" range on scouting, it shouldn't be difficult. Only races that have punch, range and can effectively run away can get it done on a regular basis (excluding the obviously broken Gaim). This means Vree in particular, and probably Shadows (untested).

I agree with whats been said. I would definitely pick up a few more Jaskakars, another Tikrit, and the Carrier with some Torp Fighters also.
