What fleet compositions do you dread facing...

Er bt late as that's exactly what happened - the Liati and Demos's did just that.........

but as LBH said first time he faced them......... :D

I was pleasently confused at the time by the obsession with the Corvan :D

Thats ok Da Boss, be pleasantly surprised at LBH's choices, mine have always been your Liati first. In fact any Liati first, the Liati must die!!

Indeed - they tend to die a little quickly against you

- looking forward to trying out my Raiders against the might of EarthForce :)

Raiders?? Against a real Military? I think not!! Crushed easier than an exercise over Io

I never claimed I would win - only one of us is certain it seems of the outcome

Still hope we have our usual match up - although not looking forward to the rail hyperions - they were a bit of a shock last time.

Tried out 3A against ISA (5pt battle) recently which was interesting...........should have gone for a Omega, a second Avenger and a third Nova instead of the Warlock though. Fighter did well but ran out of effective guns too quickly..............

ah well live and learn

ISA are complete Pigs to play against, far too fast, far too manouverable, far too hard to kill!!!

Had a Campign Game last night

I had a Ashinta and a Blue Star (with an interceptor) against 2 Chronos and Myridiom

the EA player had 0 chance against these two..................

more cos of the ashinta than the bluestar though as the chronos would intercept the few bluestar shots that hit its hull 6.

No terrain - Ashinta circles at range (its durable, good speed and 2 x 45 turns, has stealth and twin linked guns that ignore interceptors)- and picks them off steadily - Blue star is a In sink and useful if a ships is crippled and loses interceptors. Usually got a critical each round of firing with the Ashinta (5 hits a turn so about right) - the EA ships never saw it.

The Blue Star with interceptors, dodge and CBD ignored the fire that came its way when it strayed into range............no need even for the adaptive armour.

When killed the first Chronos and crippled the Myrm with damage to the other and nothing inflicted on my ships - we agreed it was a waste of time............also gave me a chance to watch the League hammer a couple of Minbari ships attacking a convoy :D 8)

Seriously, I'll take any tutelage you can spare me Triggy, thanks.

You know I'm not in the tourney though, right. I'm demoing WaW

Well in that case I can confuse your advice for other players on the day by keeping you thinking about ACtA!

Not including Gaim. 5 point raid lists

Some of my least favourite...

Whitestar
Avenger with Auroras
12 Bluestars (if a game allows hyperspace, I think that's 10 jump point bombs (half fleet FAPs) needing 5s? Nasty... Even without that, they can pretty much fight only when they want to.)

5 Ashintas

4 Teshlans
1 Leshath

2 Tinashis
1 Ashinta

In fact, any Minbari fleet at all (damn you boneheads!), except 2 Troligans and a Leshath. That's just fun and pretty much fights like a real fleet should!

2 Liatis
8 Havens

Any fleets you really don't like the thought of playing?

I'd say 5 Shadow Scouts is near the top of my list of fleets I wouldn't enjoy playing against in a 5 point Raid fleet. Superb Manoeuverability, Shields 5/5, Stealth 5+, Scout, Dodge, Self Repair, Hull 5. All around pretty nasty.

Sincerely,

Andrew Norris

Thats because it is a bad thing, especially when your favourite fleet is EA, its like an episode of catch the pigeon or Benny Hill.

If it hadn't been for those pesky White Stars id have got away with it!!!

I hates them ISA, I hates them!!
