What does my Centauri fleet need?

I know this question will probably come up a lot in the near future, but anyway. I want to round out the Centauri stuff I just bought. At present I have 2 of everything not in the fleet box (only 1 Adira) and the fleet box itself. Was thinking of adding another 2 Sulust and a third Liati. Any suggestions for anything else that might be needed later?

A second Balvarin carrier is always handy, you need plenty of fighters against some opponents...

it needs what YOU want it to need. only you know your tactical preference and ideal fleet compositions. take some time to look at your fleet choices, and see what you might like to use, or what you want to try in future. If you listen to everyone else, you could end up with ships you hate using!
but, to offer a quote. "your'e better off with amaximus" ;-)

I dunno if there would be a ship I hate using. I tend to play things others don't like just because and I buy and use the miniatures because they look cool. Everything is effective in the right build or in the right setting. I just want a few ideas as to what might be a good baseline other than just buying 4 of everything ;-)...

in that case, I love the balvarin, solid ship, some rutarians, they rock, most awesome fighter, I love the dargan too. other than that, I'm not really a centauri kind of chap. If I ever did centauri it would be Dargans, Balvarin, Demos, Maximus and as may Rutarians as I could manage ;-)
rats, now i want a small Centauri fleet!!

As I have discovered, there is no such thing as a *small* Centauri fleet... ;-)

I see we think much alike Hiff, Ive always loved the Dargan and Demos and when they finally became good ships (arguably slightly TOO good in the latter case....) in 2nd Ed that was what pushed me over the edge to start building them

But yeah I also am of the oppinion that:

The Dargan is just about the coolest ship in the game.

Rutarians are the best things ever. I loves them I do.

I dont acutally HAVE a Balvarin at the moment but I firmly intend to get one as soon as I have some spare cash

Well, based on what I already bought, I think I'll probably end up getting:

2 more Dargan's
2 more blisters of Sentris (since I'll have two Balvarins)
2 more blisters of Rutarians
2 more Sulust
1 (maybe 2) Liati
2 more Demos

Other than that I think I'm good. I'd like a second Adira, but I think I'd rather spend the money on a Shadows fleet box instead...

Seems you summed up what your planning to get but what about another 2-3 primus i have 6 guarding my 2 octurians :lol: and mayby some Maximus would give you fleet alot more protection. espesally your captial ships.
I wish there was a rule that you could take shadow allies that would be so cool and a excuss to buy them :wink:

Yeah, the problem really is whether to just buy another fleet box instead of the Sentris and Demos. That would give me two more Primus and 4 Demos. I like the Maximus as well so who knows. Sigh... if only money were no object... ;-)

Well you cant go wrong with the fleet box 10 ships more and plenty of extra fighters. How much funds do you have to expland them?.

You can in the doubles tournament bring a friend with Shadows 8)

Lol i wish my mate doesnt do tournments so i have no one to go with unless i take 2 fleets for myself But i'm always open to ofters

Hmm, i am the same pretty skint myself but ill have pretty much 2 months to myself soon . I'd wait till then and you still have to 2 months of pay i guess to get what you need.
