Weapons Question...

I did a search and couldn't find anything, was there something hanging around in the way of converting or translating Modern (now) weapons into Traveller terms...

Thought it might have been here but could have been elsewhere, I have been lookin at a lot of Traveller sites of late.

Its been my experience that the weapons in some editions Traveller tend to be generic. So rather and using an Uzi or H&K MP5 the character gets a submachine gun.

Special Supplement 6: Guns, Gadgets and Gear by Avenger has a more detailed list of weapons but no hints on conversions.

Guns! Guns! Guns! v1.1 has weapons for T4 and TNE. That might help if your using Mongoose Traveller.
