Having seen the way this board has gone recently, lots of sniping, trite comments, and downright rudeness and hostility, Is this to be known as the armageddon effect? is this only a warmup for 2nd Ed?
The general fun and cameraderie on this board has made it a nice place to post, their have previously been some hotly debated points, but are we all so petty and self righteous that we have to go down the routes that we have been?
I'm sure I sound patronising and self righteous myself now, but if you think that screw you... (just joking ;-) )
lets get back to fundamentals, lets talk about a game we kind of love and hate equally, without the need for all the sniping eh?

Game on!

and to be serious for a sec, yes I agree completely that people (myself included) seem to be getting a bit snappier than usual :( I can only put this down to frustration that ACTA seems to have stagnated a bit of late with the Arma minis being largely a dissapointment and the book itself meeting with mixed reviews.

For my part if I DO snap at anyone I humbly appologise, I just get a bit grumpy sometimes when I hear the same old arguments over and over (also since I started my new job I havent had time to play World of Warcraft much lately so am probably suffering from withdrawal! DAMN YOU BLIZZARD!!! :lol: )
 
If any of you bleeding heart liberals think I am being snappy or rude or generally rubbish........ tough!!! :lol:

Seriously tho I think that some of us could do with just taking a step back, breathing and remembering that we arent in this for the money. We are all here coz we like the game and tho some of us may have wildly differing views we should bear that in mind and acknowledge that politely.

Personally it was thru these boards that i deceided that I wanted to get out more and meet some of you weirdos :lol: and be part of the wider ACTA community.

Back on track:
Talking game rules is kinda hard. The Armageddon ones are well know, mostly ok, in need of extra finetuning (They arent going far enough for most people around here, and acceptable as an interim measure) and people would be happeir if the armageddon ships were either better looking or better balanced, as they are mostly simply too weak.
 
See!!! If its not the darned fishheads its the space commies!!!! :lol:

I dont mind my new ships designs (EA) they seem to be progressing along the lines started with the chronos, apollo and warlock. Games rules is always soooo much harder to get right tho :lol:
 
Of course your happy...you didn't get a damned boom box in space.

would be nice if we were all one big happy family...we will settle down after a bit. Arm. has just brought to a head discussion that have been going on for months now. We have all been holding our breath and trying not to say anything so think of this as a purge.

Hey my one of my secondary races is Brakiri, just dont really like that Boombox, I've seen bricks that look nicer! :lol:
