Vree and Drazi Advise

Hi Guys,

Have been playing ACTA for some time and currently have a

A large EA fleet (All Ages covered plus Corps), a good size Minbari Fleet, and a good size Shadow fleet. Have ordered ISA but am looking at getting hold of another fleet or two before the end of production.

Having seen plenty of the Vree at the recent mongoose tournie I quite like the idea of getting hold of a Vree fleet.... I also quite like the idea of the Drazi to.

Here is the rub..... what would I need in order to have most options covered with these fleets?

Well, for the Drazi you want a couple of Firehawks, some Warbirds (4-6) and some Sunhawks (4-6). Then some Skyserpents and Starsnakes for fighters. Possibly pick up a Stormfalcon or two, and a couple of Claw Eagles and you'll have a reasonable fleet with some room for experimentation. Avoid the Fireraptor like the plague... it's pig ugly, undergunned and fragile.

For Vree, 2 Vaarls, 2 Xeels, a pack or two of of Xarrs, a couple of packs of Tzimms, at least one Xonn (maybe 2) and 4 or so Xorrs. You could get a Xill or two, and a Z'Takk if you really want to bulk up the fleet for higher PL games...

I'd tend to grab some Brakiri while you're at it, to be honest... they have extremely solid ships that help plug the gaps in the Drazi and Vree fleets, and you'd be able to field all three together as a mixed league fleet that would have some real teeth. Possibly 1-2 Aviokis (Kalivas), 1-2 Brokados, 2 packs each of Falkosi and Pikitos, 2 Ikortas and 2 Haliks would give you some tough ships with decent all round firepower and fleet carrier support for the rest of your fighters, without costing too much money...
