Vree, 5 point Raid

I'm taking a fleet tomorrow.

Gonna be:

Vree & Abbai

v

ISA & Pak'Ma'Ra

Expect White Stars.

I got a fleet sorted but I'm interested to see what everyone's opinion is on what they would take as Vree to face this.
I'm not posting my fleet because I dont want to put a bias in anyones mind.

eeeh, not sure fielding a ton of fighters is a good idea with the PMR Plasma Web still existing. I'm thinking;

Xill BS (x2)
Vaarka ES (x2)
Xixx TS (x3)
Ximm CE (x2)

I think the fighters thing is a good idea as any ships using an energy web on your fighters aren't using them on your ships!

How about a middle ground?

2 x Xill
3 x Xeel
1 x Vaarl
2 x Ximm
2 x Xaar

What about those patrol boat ones, they seem fantastic to me.
Xeels & Xaars all the way.
They would eat a Demos/Whitestar type fleet alive.

welp.....


turns out the pak'ma'ra player doesnt like those anymore and has got himself an ISA fleet.

things got a bit interesting when the (now) two ISA players refused to play on the same side as each other (well rthey are kids)

so i ended up with one ISa player and the opposing tweam was Abbai and ISA.

interesting.

anyways, game proceeded with the (new) ISA lpayer taking a white Star Carrier and a White Star.

My fleet ended up:

2 Xill,
2 Vaarka
4 Xixx Torpedo saucers.

game was very good, the highlight being my Vree taking down the White Star carrier in 3 turns.......... Abbai didnt really get a look in. lots of all power to engines from me and careful moving to stay out of their range. interestinly I kept forgetting to CAF, but i didnt really need it with all the crits I rolled.

we even had time to get in a second game of 1 Raid.
I took two of the bombardment saucers and crippled a T'loth before having to concede.

I love Vree!

We've seen a lot of problems for the Abbai getting shots in at all some games vs Vree or ISA, the two together would have been a nightmare.
