Voice of Conquest

~~~ Voice of Conquest ~~~
I broke out of Cimmeria hungry for life,
I hewed my way up with axe, sword and knife.
I rode down the 'Road of Kings' in eternal strife.
I enjoyed many buxom beauties while avoiding a wife.
I've ridden hard and fast many mares and stallions
and left a bloody wake with my swashbuckling galleons.
Thousands have fallen under my flashing Blade large
and been trampled in battle by the hooves of my charge.
I am the ultimate sorcerer's bane.
I have lost count of all the foes I have slain.
I've beheaded shamans, wizards, liches and witches
and bedded some beautiful busty wicked hot bitches.
I've rescued girl, maid, princess and whore.
I've slain bullies and monsters and demons galore.
Fighting vicious and ruthless through blood guts and gore.
But the iron will of Crom makes me come back for more...
[ by Buxom Sorceress c.2008.
this is my special tribute to Conan.
imagine him singing this loudly with his veteran warrior friends as they drink lots of Amra ale and wine in the great feasting hall of the Palace in Tarantia?
and this would be chanted to his army on the eve of a big battle?
and King Conan would recite this with gusto just before he led his heavy cavalry in their decisive charge? ]
chant it with your fellow Conan fans when you next have a drink together?
I drink a toast to Conan and all his Hyborian fans!
CHEERS ! :)
enjoy. :)
Buxom Sorceress is back! You should send a poem to Bry so that he might include it to illustrate the next Conan Campaign (Trial of blood).
What I love about this is that it evokes that age very well, it reminds me of actual verses of dark ages poetry. Nicely done.
I personally love it.
If 'Trial' wasn't done, I'd totally see if I couldn't find a way to sneak something like this in.
Very, very good work. :)
Too bad. I think a poem is a great idea to put on the back cover to describe the campaign or provide a incentive.
But it is good news to learn that the job is done.
