Victory at Sea Tournament?

I saw one person say that VAS was MORE balanced than ACTA so better suited to tournaments than ACTA.

Personally I don't think he has the same version of the rule book as I have, but hey it's a free world (until my axis powers take it over).

I don't think play balance for tournaments is very good either, but would be happy to give it a go, I have a box of Yamato's ready for play, don't need the other models I wasted my money on.....

Maybe tourney's will excude certain ships?
Then the tourney organisers have a nightmare deciding which ships are balanced and which aren't.

Let's just keep to friendlies and historical scenarios. Easier. Less stress.

Balanced, and Yamato's does not go hand in hand!

The Yamato is not the harbinger of doom you are making it out to be! So far I have seen it played in 4 games. . the IJN lost three of those games!!

As far as tournaments go, just hold them at battle level so that those big ships become comparatively more expensive. I think battle level is probably the most balanced scenario PL IMO.

If I could gather the models I would be up for a Tourniament just to see how it all works out and see if our sqwawking on this 'ere forum was all for nought... :P

How many Yamoto's were in each game?

And did the Yanks have a bunch of Iowas which are very nearly as good.

I for example only have 1 Yamato actually, and 2 Nagato's which seem good buys. But I have 2 Iowas. In my first game I used one of the nagato and the Iowa. The Nagato was outclassed but still performed well. The Iowa was awesome ot blew most of the Jap fleet out of the water, and by looking at the stats the Yamato should be able to do at least as well.

I agree Battle level would probably be a good level to play this game at.

How come on previous posts, you keeps mentioning you have Yamato, as if you have lots then? :P

One Iowa, one Yamato each.

Theoretically, nobody should be allowed to play w/ more than 2 Yamatos or 4 Iowas though!

Easy I lied!!!!

I only have one yamato, if I was playing "big guns" I only actually have one yamato and 2 Nagato's the rest would be cruisers and destroyers, which I am quite happy using as the long lance is still quite effective.

You bad lad

Only one Yamato???

Amateur.

At current count I have six: the entire proposed class of five, plus one more from GHQ that I couldn't resist getting because the mini is just so durn purty lookin'....

This is what happens when you're in the hobby for 30+ years, and keep buying other people's fleets when they sell them off. Be warned, it's a disease....

You only have to buy stuff on two of those days though (unless you have to buy your own bday presents...)

In fact get other people to by BF-Evo stuff for you...
