Vassal ACTA 2e_ v1.3

Mongoose
Hi all.
New updates:
A new Starfield playing board option. The plain black board still starts as default and you can activate the Starfield or deactivate it at anytime.
There is no slow down in performance (for me).

Boresight Beam targeting added to all relevant ships on the right click menu or be pressing F or A (for ships with Aft boresight weapons).
Deadly accurate. The picture shows a Hyperion firing. :)

Caution:
When using both Front And Rear Boresight beams Simultaneously, Go Slowly on rotation of the counter. Otherwise you face serious memory slowdowns!
Its fine rotating one beam but two can be troublesome.

New Turn Counter added to keep track of gaming turns.
New notes window added for........notes
This feature also has delayed message system, it will allow players to choose there fleet choices and reveal simultanously :)
I nearly forgot, added the B5 ACTA logo at startup.
Also updated the Credits to recommend users buy the pdf of the rules from wargamingonline.
If you find any problems or errors let me know.
As always it been fun.
I still have some more ideas for improvements but they'll have to wait for the next update.
:)

Erm, Jay, I hate to break it to you, but vassal ACTA v1.3 has been out for a while. ;) It's actually at1.3b, kat did some work on it earlier, I think it was Kat anyway. Lots of mods in his version too....were you working off his, or another build?

Hi, yes i released a v1_3beta, for testing.
This is the final release.
I've fixed the Starfield slow down issue.
:)

I think Katadders last official mod was v1.2.
This is a update of it.
I re-worked the earlier beta release of v1_3 after finding some new tricks.

Are you talking about the Juyuca supplement?
Yes.

I used Kats version from the Players Resources posting.
And updated that.

Any feedback from the few who downloaded this would be appreicated.
I'm wondering how well its running on your computers.

I'm always trying to think of ways of speeding up VACTA, since time is the great enemy for gaming with vassal.
I've learned another trick today that should help save about 20 minutes per game or more.
Pre-defined setups!
You'll be able to choose these at start up. So space debris will be on the board auto rather than you having to work out how much to place and were to place it.
So for example:
At game start you get to choose a setup:
Setup 1, plain board.
Setup 2, small asteroid field.
Setup 3 medium asteroid field,
etc etc.
Manual placement of Space Debris will still remain for those who want to use it.

Edit: Just learned how to save the ship Stats in the property boxes.

:D

Jay - I still use it, particularly when I want to quickly playtest something (with or without another player) and don't want to set things up on a table. It's really useful and the boresight feature is great.

So... I'm slow. I see this thread, and I downloaded all these neat little pictures. It looks like I need something else to run it... what would that be?

Thanks Kat.
Keep your head down over there 8)

Hi, loved the previous version of vassal B5 2ed haven't tried this one yet, but brilliant work. Just one small thing, the civilian ships, the corporate tanker still uses the 1st ed image, 2nd ed uses the old civilian trader as the corporate tanker. It doesn't really matter and probably not even worth fixing, just something I noticed.

Thanks again for making the vassal mod whoever you are

Your welcome. :)
I recommend you update your Vassal engine to 3.0.17. if using this mod.
You can do this by visiting the following link and hitting Quick Launch,
older versions of Vassal may have difficulty with this mod.
