V-22 Osprey in BFEVO, will we still get one for USMC?

Now all I need are stats for Puff the Magic Dragon (AC-130), and then I'll ready to clear a place for my V-22 to land.

Larry

I actually saw two of these flying over the main gate at Fort Belvoir. Not bad but I'm still expecting one to fall out of the sky and land on me...

I dont see why you could not use a 1/72 Model, it may be a litle small, but it would fiit on the board better. All that would matter is the it's Base be the right size.

If air craft do CC attakcs when they crash, how big is the area they crash in? If its the size of the model does that include rotars or not for helicopters....

Everything within the size rating of the models centre point gets hit IIRC

Damn thats so obvious.... why the hell didn't I think of that.... Must have been cos it was gone midnight and I should really have been getting some shut eye.

That's what aircraft do - they crash from time to time, especially the "just designed" ones.

There was a bad crash involving an Osprey prototype a few years ago according to Bald Eagle on Future Weapons

There were multiple bad crashes involving the V-22... one killed 19 men in one go (Pilot, Co-Pilot, 17 Marines)...

That was bad...and the fourth one was caused because they increased hydralic pressure without changing out the lines to compensate...

They don't actually use "bases". They have a pronged flight stand according to the prototype pics for the Cobra/Future Lynx.

If scale's not an issue you could alway do what dsfrank did and convert a toy set Matchbox makes:

Oh, you could do that, but you're stuck using small arms, and even then your flight profile is flakey because the doors are opened.

How about some specail rules for this..... X models may fire rifles from open doors -1 to dice score for shooting attacks. If this is done then any shooting attacks aimed at the V-22 gain +1 to their roll, also can only do this if in V-stol mode.
