USCM Marine Squad WIP

Here is the current USCM Marines done I have gotten done for table top gaming. right now finishing up the smart gunner.

And this is what they look like unpainted.

They are the size of army men and I had to make custom bases for them from small vitamin bottles lids. I then glued window meshing to the caps. Once the glue dried I cut the extra meshing off and painted the entire base black. Once that dried I dry brushed the metal meshing with boltgun metal paint.

It took a little work getting the marines cleaned up and primed but now that I have most of them finished and based they look really good on the tabletop. Even being just a little bit bigger then warhammer figures they still look great. And I have already played a few table top games with them

Update on my squad

got the smart gunner finished painting and based. took a new group shot of the squad let me know what you guys think of the latest update.

Not to steal this threads thunder, but I much prefer the Horrorclix Aliens sets. Once rebased and painted, they fit right in with regular 28-30mm figures. Also, EM4 sells some pretty good Colonial Marine-a-likes, so you have a basic 28mm Aliens set-up right there if you're willing to spend the cash.

I hate resurrecting an old thread, but I need to ask a question, Wintermute33.

Do you have any spare figs from the Tree House Kids marines you originally posted in this thread? I recently acquired some Swarm Packs (15) and didn't get either of the machine gunners. If you have any extras I'd be willing to make an offer.

Or if anyone else has some they'd like to trade. I've got extras of almost every marine from this series (I think I have 4 Corporal Hicks) as far as I can tell - just no Hudson, Drake or Vasquez.
