if we are still talking about the murders of RMPs back in 03 i thought that most of them only had pistols, perhaps one L85 between them, but as they were in the police headquarters they did not have all teir equipment with them.

the sabotage mission shown in S&P is the perfect place for the EFTF to have my comrades RAFP dog teams patrolling the grounds. we would all die but the alarm would be raised alot quicker, probably after the 1st guy bites it

well you guys are all kinda wrong here, currently we are having Ugandan soldiers guarding our bases instead of MPs, welcome to the multi national force know as the "Coalition of the Willing" instead of cooks we have Pakistani catering services, instead of bad soldier cleaning the head, we have Iraqi janitors.

Now to answer you Qs about MPs, the Marine MPs in Baghdad walk around with M16 s and M249s just like the regular Infantry, every Marine a rifleman first.

You casualty figure is wrong, as Hiro pointed out, now i will admit that more than likely most of our casualties have been because they were pulling checkpoint duty, this doesnt mean they are MPs.

Well Mp's have been a large portion of US casualties they have been changeing our role more from force protection to actual combat over the last 4 years

why on earth are they doing that? you've got serous overstretch from the sounds of it

its not overstretch most of the current typs of missions being performed right now are missions that MP's are trained to do hence why the US military had to force others to reclass into MPs during the war MP's are the best choice for performing most missions in Urban terrain. MP's on the modern battlefield are just better equipped mobile infantry.

By current count only 32 MPs have been killed... (well.. 29 by hostile action, primarially by IED).

yes you can break it down by divisions however, there are MP's in every division and every BCT there have been way more than 32 MP's killed in OIF we actually keep a record of them and there names but I wont release that here

why take highly specialised troops and turn them into infantry and force "others" into the highly specialised MP role?

sorry bro, but youd be wrong again, it is and overstretch, you dont want MPs going house to house, this is the "most missions" you were referring to. street patrol, no, id rather have regular infantry doing the patrols, with some MP attachments (thank god this is how the US does it), because the MPs are more "diplomatic" but the infatry know how to shoot better, and fight their way out better.

currently the MPs mission is to train the Iraqi Police and Special Police Forces, so the SPF can be bigger than battalion size strength, which they have accomplished recently, IIRC they are up to regimental, maybe even brigade size.

also MPs jobs have switched in Iraq from training local to keeping the US forces in line, ill talk more about this later, because right now i have a plane to catch LMAO

Actually when you break it down by division, your get the soldier's name and unit they're in. I went through them all and I certainly didn't see any MP units within the divisions.

Also, they break the MPs into a Brigade Sheet on the Division selection menu.
