US gaming. Ahh!

What about my earlier question??

I was under the impression that the shortage would be an "initial release" issue, and that the game would be available in larger quantities in the U.S. at a later date.

Now I'm getting the impression that its just not going to be commonly available in the states period.

Which one is correct?

Hi there,

It will be available in the US, and we will guarantee supply to any distributor who pre-orders by the end of the month. All we are saying is that we cannot guarantee supply 100% if some companies choose not to pre-order. . .

You lucky schmo! Where do you live? I'm moving there immediately! The miniature market is bad where I live right now that most stores are even refusing to carry clix!

My FLGS said they're going to start carrying the new Starwars ship combat game, I said I refuse to buy into that game. I Will Not buy another CC-anything. If it's randomized, I don't want it. I have a bunch of MageKnight stuff that's not worth a plug nickel.

I will buy the heck out of Non-randomized pre/propainted figures. :)

Agreed. I have tons of Mageknight and Mechwarrior stuff I can't give away. I've been dieing for a game that really pulls me in, much like 40K did years ago (which I played religiously for 10 years) only to be kicked to the curb because of their rediculous price increases and game changes. I'm hoping this game fills the void. The price is right, the setting is interesting to me and the minis look great. Now, about this lack of availability in the US  . Just my luck. My LGS might should carry the game, as I pestered the owner recently.

From my understanding, the limited release will only effect the initial release. That said, whether any local stores carry it will depend upon the demand and the willingness of the store in invest in Mongoose.

Unfortunately, it does seem like a lot of stores have been really put off of Mongoose due to SST. I know that there is a lot of interest for BF: Evo locally, but only time will tell if it will be enough to put Mongoose back into the good graces of the LGSs around the US.
