Updated Maintenance costs?

I see from the new preview, that monthy maintenance cost is no longer a flat 100cr per ton of ship.

Nor does it seem to be a simple % of ship cost.

So what is a ship monthy maintence cost baised on now and has the annual 2 week year overhaul been put back into the mix?

:?:

Good eye catching Preview 4!

Hmmm seems that Life support is a flat 4% (or 2k per stateroom)

Maintenance seems to be cost / 12 000 (per month)

(values rounded up to the nearest credit)

Not sure of where the annual maintenance comes in yet as we've just had a small squint at the final product !

Take care

Your right, on a closer look it is the old CT 1/1000 of the cash price of the ship per year. Just changed to monthly instead, makeing it 1/12000 of the cash price of the ship per month.

I noticed that the Scout has 2 Fuel Purifiers and fuel for 10 weeks, while the Seeker has 1 Purifier and 4 weeks of fuel.

I can understand the 10 weeks of fuel on the Scout (it is for scouting and surveying after all), but I don't understand the need for 2 fuel purifiers. Guess we will have to wait for the rules to understand the fuel/Purifier ratio.

I THINK it was Matt Sprange that said that ALL Traveller ship designs would come with deck plans. If that is true, I REALLY like it! If not, it should be!

Indeed - never a ship without a deck plan.

As for the fuel purifiers, you'll see :)

1) Bridge shown is about 4Td, plus 2Td of computer (of 10+0)
2) Sensors sown at about 2Td
3) Drives shown at 8Td of 17
4) Air Raft bay shown is 2td, and in a poor location (on the cargo deck, aft, under engineering would make more sense)
5) Portside aft hallway seems superfluous.

It appears that part-way through the deckplan process, the architech forgot that a Td is 1.5x3x3m

One other note: Multi-deck plans work best when the vertical accesses line up; the key and other decks being swapped would make the plans much easier to decipher.
