Its not been the most productive of weeks for one reason or another. But I'm chuffed to bits with this render I did last week, been trying to decide wether to post it or not, well here goes...

Its based on illustration in the Started Box Set - I just reunited myself with a copy.

Just a suggestion but have you looked at the Greeble plugin at all? - I know its available for 3dsmax not sure if its available for any others like Sketchup but it would be perfect for Traveller ship renders like this one - it essentially adds random panelling to the surfaces to resenble Chiris Foss type look - its probably the most impressive plugin Ive ever seen for what it can do.

Yes theres a plugin scripty thingy for sketchup, not really experimented yet with it. Many moons ago I played with it on 3DS, its very good for Nostromo or ISD like hulls.

I'd cite Peter Elson as my inspiration.
