I recently picked up all the PDFs from Drive Thru RPG and decided it would be wise to print out a hardcopy of the core book since it will get referenced more. For some reason the PDF will print the first few pages and then stop spooling on page 9(it has the career summary table on it). I can print pages 10-34 then it does the same thing on page 35.
I tried printing those pages all by their lonesome but the printer just stops spooling at like 192k/256k and then gives an error. I can print page 9 if I select "print as image" but the quality is not nearly as good as the Postscript version.
I'm printing from my Core2Duo iMac to a Lexmark E238 B/W Laser and have never run into this problem with other PDFs. I re-downloaded it from Drive Thru thinking maybe it was corrupted but the two files are identical and the newer one will not print page 9 or 35 either. I have bought Twilight 2000 and Traveller TNE from Drive Thru and didn't encounter any issues printing them in the past.
Has anyone been successful printing their core rules PDF? Was it recently download or an older version?
I just want to see if maybe this is a new problem that slipped in when the file got updated for errata or if this is entirely on my end. They look fine on the screen but it is almost like there is a kink in the Postscript for those pages that is giving my particular setup issues.
I plan on taking it to my office in the morning and trying it on one of the lasers there to see if maybe it is a Windows/Mac or Lexmark/Brother/HP thing.
