Travellers Needed - The Future of Traveller

On the (more) practical side, I would love to see the 2300AD line expanded further. Colonial Atlases and a Sol system, and 2300AD alien sourcebooks would be fantastic, but the setting really needs adventures. Bayern was impressive, so 2300AD campaigns would be welcome additions. I would throw money at you now for an expansive CSC-style gear book for 2300AD.

Given the recent acquisition of Traveller, 2300AD, and Twilight 2000, it feels like the sky is the limit. So, here's the big wish list items:

1. A Traveller book dedicated to making adventures and crafting a campaign. There's a lot of good material sprinkled across various sources, but a true Referee-focused "how to" style book. Mothership's Warden's Operations Manual is a great sci-fi "how to" book. Something along those lines with Mongoose's talent and Traveller mechanics would kick butt.
2. A 2300AD campaign involving time travel where the players end up in the Twilight War.
3. A campaign that really showcases 2300AD from the core worlds to the Frontier to alien and uncharted space.
4. More adventures for 2300AD & Third Imperium space.
5. A campaign where new/alternative FTL methods are discovered for the 2300AD universe. <-- I know this is likely a non-starter, but FTL stutterwarp combat ain't my jam, but I love the setting.
6. A Traveller Map resource for 2300AD space.

And the go-for-gold wish list item:

A new 2300AD campaign in the style of Drinax or Deepnight that is an amalgam of cyberpunk core worlds + 2300AD Frontier systems + Cthulhu-esque alien horror (perhaps with Psionics, perhaps just aliens) written/spearheaded by Seth Skorkowsky so he he can forge his Magnum Opus combination of Traveller-Cyberpunk-Call of Cthulhu.

I wonder what the terms of Mongoose ownership of T2k and T2300 are?
Could they update the existing 2300AD adventures and sourcebooks to current MgT rules or do they have to do new stuff?
There is a pentapod sourcebook manuscript on the 2300AD cd/usb collection that is crying out to see the light of full production values.

I don't remember running T2300 using the rules as written, I was expecting the game to be based on the T2k rules so I just adapted the gun porn to T2k.

I went the route of the provolutionists and pentapod with my 2300AD, plus cyberpunk was embraced (without the punk). It was like a less extreme GURPS THS. I was never a fan of the all consuming Kafer war that sort of took over.

Can do what we want, that is the point - we could flood the Pleiades with an invasion of intelligent and technologically advanced raccoons if we wished (think that might be popular for a few people...).

With brave Mongoose's defending against the hordes?

I would like to see pamphlets covering major destinations of the Traveller universe such as cities, starports, military complexes or important buildings, sights to see, libraries, banks, starports, restaurants and bars etc. These would flesh out some important locations in the universe which could be used as meeting places, for missions, or where the group could be based.

Each would need to have a few really good external and internal images, some quality floor plans, maybe details of characters who regularly frequent the establishments. All imaginatively geared to firing up the referees imagination on creating missions there.

The main thing would be subtle hooks throughout. I am specifically thinking about the superb Classic Traveller IISS Ship Files book here - one of the best Traveller products ever made - with its paperclipped note hooks to give the referee ideas.

Most of your regular stuff I can support except the Time Travel it always causes problems and a different FTL drive that simply going to change the entire setting. As for your wish list NO JUST NO this is Traveller not Rifts and 2300 tends for more of a Hard Sci-fi feel

I was just thinking. I would love a campaign setting set in and around the Sindalan Empire just before it's fall. cerca -1,500 3I or thereabouts with the same level of detail as PoD has. Is Gareth still around and writing?

Now that Mongoose presumably owns the rights, I'd love the to see the covers of the original (GDW) JTAS released as posters. Is that the sort of thing that can be done by POD these days?

Maybe you could put the posters through one of those computer programmes that makes up details as they increase graphic resolution.
