Traveller PDFat Drivethru

Yay, got it!

And yes, the map at the end is screwy, it looks like the frame, the hex grid, and the hex numbers are all misaligned (I've viewing it in Acrobat 8.1 and in Foxit PDF reader and it's the same problem).

Ditto. I am using Adobe Reader 8.1.0 (OS X) too.

Page 34: "Life Events" is missing, shifted to page 9. It creates a gap in the text p.34-47. For example, "Aliens" is at the bottom of p.40 instead of the top of p.41.

BTW, copying and printing are allowed, that's good :)

EDIT: Page 91: "Cr.200" – no space – "Hand computer" -> Page 92: "Medikit" at the bottom -> Page 93: "Drugs", etc. -> p.104

or if hiver technology issimply not up to the task...
Not possible ;)
(ie: Acrobat is on the blink).
Prolly! :)
What is wrong with it (if you can let me know it might help me be able to find if I can fix it)?
The whole thing is on the wonk. The hex numbers are out of line with the hex grid, the hex grid is out of line with the inside frame, the inside frame is out of line with the outisde frame, and the outside frame is totally out of line with everything else i.e. it's all on the wonk.

Is the PDF going to be updated with new errata regularly?

PDFs are always updated to the latest printing, yes.

That makes me wonder. When you purchase a PDF, you usually get something like 4 or 7 download attempts. Therefore, if you are updating the PDFs with errata semi-regularly, does that mean if I were to download my PDF purchase again, say 6 months later, that it would include new errata?

On the DTRPG you can specifiy to be notified of any updates to the PDFs. I'd presume that doesn't count against the download limit (which is 5 times on DTRPG).

Even if that isn't the case (and it probably is) DTRPG / RPGNow have been pretty good at resetting download limits if notified with an explanatory email. They just don't want people abusing the process.

pricing: DTRPG doesn't set the prices. Mongoose did. But it is typical, 50-75% of print cover is the normative range.

Downloads: typical at DTRPG is 5 downloads. Normally, they do not count failed attempts.

Will this be amended any time soon? I'm wanting to print the pdf off but will probably wait until the chunks of text are in their correct place.

(stupid computers...)

Well I have done the work necessary to right these glitches and forwarded them to Matt, so they should be uploaded in the none too distant future.

Have you completely de-wonked the hex grid? Please tell me you have...

Guys..I don't think you'll ever know just how wonderful it is to have a company who actually gives a damn about putting out a quality product and caring about its customers republish Traveller.

Thank you from the bottom of this old dog's heart.

I just downloaded the book again from DTRPG - same wonky hex grid.

Good stuff, thanks Nick.

I just wanted to thank you guys for putting the PDF up at last (even with the few wonky bits in it  ).

I moved a few years ago and now live out in the "country" in Australia, and the local FLGS didn't even know what Traveller was, let alone carry the new book so PDF releases are by far the best choice for me (and a guaranteed purchase, each and every one).

I do have one question: will the release of PDF versions for future books come faster than the initial core book? Please?
