Traveller Minature Game

Banded Mongoose
Good address overall - well done Mongoose Matt sound like tuff times.

My personal poison is Traveller - not been tempted out of it yet although there is CTA voice in my head saying fading suns hmmm close to OTU Traveller.

Perhaps one of the problems of modern RPG/Minature games publisher is game brand not publisher brand - you have silos of gamers attracted to a game not to a publisher (not sure if this has ever been different in RPG/Miniatures).

Meanwhile back to the title.........
Given Call to Arms revision, given TCS overhaul, given the new attitude - no lying down, given the alleged complete mess of Traveller Miniature Licensing, I can think of only one company that can combine the positives and overcome the negative - that is Mongoose - give me CTA Traveller!

You know you want to do that :D

We have thought about it - however, there are a great many hurdles to deal with, and I am not sure CTA is the right platform for Traveller. Needs more thought!

How about just a couple of miniatures? A collected boxed set similar to the new $30 Noble Armada boxed sets, with all of the most popular Traveller ships. Might do well with the RPG folks and us folks that always liked (some) of the designs.

Miniatures are nice - needs a good ruleset to use. The hex based movement system in High Guard looks OK, never used.

Mongoose Matt, what license will CTA be released under?
I can see the challenges for Mongoose to do a Traveller version, but OGL would allow the fan-base to do something.

Let me be blunt, there are tons of great systems out there already, so I'm not really looking at another. Miniatures on the other hand are each unique and can be used for many systems. Usually the money is in the miniatures and not the rules set, so I was just indicating that there is interest in miniatures without a dedicated rules set.
