Traveller Mainbook Erratta

Is there an official erratta for the Traveller Core Rulebook. I know there is the Players Guide, but that just has stuff in it dosnt say page xx this needs changing etc.

Also is there a new printing of the corebook with most of the errors updated?

Also could someone explain what is up with the deck plans in the main book that needed the replacements doing.

The latest and greatest version of the book (the one you get now if you order it) has the errata included.

The original deck plans used the wrong number of squares per ton. The original designer used 1m squares, but the standard traveller design is to use 1.5m squares. That was the difference.

If you order from Mongoose, you will get the new version. Otherwise,
you would have to ask the online supplier - and trust him to make no
mistake.

Hello, I am new here, although I have been exploring for a while. I am also new to Traveller, and bought Book 0. I finally decided to join the forums here; everyone here seems very friendly and has many intelligent ideas and thoughts. I have been considering buying the Core Rulebook, but was aware that the Pocket Edition has the latest errata.

Does this mean that there is a new hard cover printing of the core book? If so, I will definitely buy it from Mongoose. I just want to make completely sure. Many thanks in advance to anyone who is patient enough to answer; I appreciate it!

Yes there has been a revised printing of the core rulebook.

Hey all. Thanks to this thread I became aware of the updated core rulebook and bought it.

Of course its a mostly polished up version of the original corebook and I have no problem with that. Its very well done!

I appreciate the new art too. The old corebook was a bit boring in appearance and these new pictures go a long way.

I do have one complaint about the art. Traveller for as long as I could remember was a very down-to-earth (if I can use that term here) plausible look at how mankind might be in the distant future. The art it used exemplified that. But the artwork of the various professions that happen to be female look like they should be working the stripper poles in a dive. The worst offender is the 'Scientist' drawing on page 30! Sorry...thats not a scientist even if she wears the cute 'serious' glasses. LOL...I do enjoy the pictures but they are in the wrong place is all.

Outside of that niggling complaint its a fine job.

Thank you, lastbesthope for your diligent efforts in finding these. I'm still new here, but I can tell that my fellow forum members take their Traveller seriously!

I noticed that the Character Creation Checklist has been fixed as well. My thanks to lastbesthope and those who started and posted in this thread, for this push to buy the Core book.

Can someone post this and any other, um, 'enhancements' from my early edition that are not in the Players Guide?

Do you mean the pdf Player's Guide from the free downloads product page for the Core book? If so, was the player's guide supposed to include the checklist? Maybe they might include it in a future update along with the other updates.

2) Yes. In my opinion, the Player's Guide description on the web site indicates it should contain all 'updates'.

I certainly hope mongoose doesn't expect me to buy a new book because of 'issues' in my early release.

A couple of the instructions for generating your character have been corrected from the first printing; specifically step 8b, which has been mentioned in another thread as an error. If you need any more info, ask away!

CosmicGamer, I agree with you that the player's guide dl should contain the checklist; the only place I saw that was in Preview 1, and it contains the errors from the 1st printing. Do the publishers look at the forums, and would any of them update the files, or does someone need to ask them?
