Traveller GM screen

Mongoose
Yay! The Mongoose Blog infoms us that;

"We have had people crying out for a Traveller Referee's screen - I can now confirm one is on the way, and will be available around July (ish)."

Good stuff, I'm looking formward to this.

Here I reiterate my previous offer to Matt to use my Traveller Combat Flowchart if he wishes. I e-mailed about this some time ago when it was in an early draft form, but it's matured somewhat since then. Many have commented on how useful it is. All can get a copy by joining the MGT-Aids Yahoo group;

I can send the original Visio document if wanted.

The combat and task flow charts you did are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just used them for the first time in my session last night, and man, did they streamline things, and more importantly, make it MUCH, MUCH easier to understand. Thank you for doing and posting those.

I heartily recommend that Mongoose use them on the GM screen in some form.

Kristof, thanks for your kind words. Please keep in mind that the second Task System Flowchart is very much a work in progress, and I haven't had much time to work on it for a while.

What I hope might happen is that Mongoose can see the power a good flowchart has to streamline a rules system. Visio is a very simple and quite intuitive program to use(yes I know it's Microsoft, but it's a good Micorsoft program!) It'snot that expensive, the learning curve is not that great and it can produce really nice looking flowcharts of all sorts. I'd love to write or edit an entire RPG basing it on flowcharts.

Fantastic news!
Will it be bundled with a mini adventure :P

Why do I now see a Mini Clubman driving out of the cargo bay of a Traveller ship?!

LBH

lol :lol:
To describe those huge cars as minis is a travesty.

OK - how about a small mjd adventure bundled in with it???

I just think a screen with a really good adventure is the most pleasing package ever, and one very hard to resist. It doesn't need binding or high production - just essentially a pre-printed pdf type thing?
