Traveller cargo programs

OK, so my group doesn't want to spend 20 min, rolling up cargos for the next jump.

Are there any good programs out there where I can just put in the UWP of the world we're we are at and the world we're going to and it will crunch all that out in one click?

Or better yet a program that lets me put in a hole sector's worth of UWPs, and then It generates cargoes for each planet within a Jump range of the current planet, as well as a speculative trade matrix that show the cargoes that are available where we're at and where they are most wanted.

I'm not sure if we have anything to fit your needs exactly at the MGT-Aids group on Yahoo! but I would give it a look see.

Personally, one GM to another, I would ahead of time just make up a list of cargoes and any factors associated with them instead of doing all this rolling. Basically - turn the availability of cargo to a GM aid in guiding and driving the game without railroading the players.

I think you have a good point. Like the old D&D resources of old, just roll the dice on your random table and you have a list of enemies with HP's and roll again for treasure.

You might just write-up some cargo's, create a spreadsheet and then assign them to the worlds that the PC's might be venturing too for your gaming session. Then ad-lib as needed so they don't keep picking up the same 6Dtons of radioactives.

One thing to keep in mind is that information travels at the speed of a ship... so a 'cargo waiting at Port X' might be gone by the time the PC's get there. Gee, too bad... now you have to take on this other cargo just to make your ship payment on time...
