Banded Mongoose
Dear Friends,
I would like to propose a new solo gaming approach - the solo campaign is a thoroughly expanded character generation system, whereby fleshing out the character IS the adventure. At the end, you will get a more detailed character profile and background, which will be more like a biography than simply a character sheet. Instead of "after battle reports", one would generate a series of biographies, which could be used by others as NPCs.
As we all know, the MGT character generation system includes "events" in the course of a charcaters' pre-playing career which yield experiences, connections (allies/enemies), goods, or skills. Such events could be elaborated on, using the "Toltrin System" for solo adventuring (see http://toltrin.blogspot.com/2011/08/this-is-for-gary-traveler-flowchart.html).
An "experience" does not necessarily have to yield a skill, but some familiarity with something short of a skill (ie Imperial Naval Academy hazing rituals, Regina Fast Food Restaurants, Vilani courtship practices, etc.) which can be noted in an expanded and more detailed character form - which will look more like a biography ! And, at the end we get a more thoroughly developed character !
Cheers,
Gary
