Traveller 2300 query

Hopeless

So I'm trying to create a Traveller 2300 character, I used the 1001 character book for a bit of inspiration.

Tha Nogh (Need to work on a an alternate name but that's the characters I used to inspire me!)
Spanish raised on Hedielsheimat as a Housekeeper to a nobleman's child.
UPP: 676886
Background Skills:
Computer 0, Drive 0, Mechanic 0, Vacc Suit 0
Body Type: Normal
Frontier Background: (-1 for Tier 4 nationality)
Planet Option - Vehicle
Space Option - Ally/1 (Free Trader pilot ends up helping them in return for using their contacts to get business)
Disadvantages - Rival/1 (Scoundrel think Paul McGann constantly trying to con the dependent of his money)
Disadvantages II - Not rolled because of above
Focus: 7 of Clubs
Option 1 - Fast/1
Option 2 - Weapon (Is this listed in an errata for T2300?)
Flaws - Dependent (Son of his employer a bit hopeless treated as a child by both character and the pilot who mothers him)

Am I doing this properly?

So I'm looking at developing a game idea for Traveller 2300 using the Traveller RPG (2.0 or 1.0 got both just the 2.0 core rulebook mind you!) and have a couple of ideas how to start it off but I'm not a Traveller 2300 expert so wanted to see what you think?

The first idea I've tried getting advice on before it involves the PCs recruited to recover a package aboard an automated transport heading from Mars into the Outer System.
Once aboard they realise it's a prison transport and eventually discover they're rescuing a kidnapped scientist whose family has strong underworld connection.
The twist is that she's a leading power systems expert the Bavarians want for her latest innovations which would quickly lead to war if they are successful.

The other idea is that the PCs are members of a nobleman's retinue whose fallen on hard times using a trader for transportation in return for granting access to their contacts but someone is deliberately targetting their dependent so lots of shenanigans involving dilettantes and various sports & events they like to attend to show off.

Which one sounds more interesting to you?

The potential Blake 7 meets the Fugitive or Entourage meets Leverage?

So does anyone know if the British BC-7 Robot Cargo Carrier would work better as an automated transport then using an automated Thorez?

Also would Bavarians use a Myrmidon Corvette and be able to do so in the Solar System without drawing unnecessary attention?
