You know what I mean; they've been lined down to a specific purpose, to balance at one specific level and cost. To go back to this farming thing, they're a greenhouse plant.

Then play the core game. You don't need to use SFOS to play. Of course if you like the rules expansion in SFOS and don't like the fleet stats, you'll need to ad hoc something.
I've been trying to put together a list for as many fleets as possible of all the stat variants and versions, original Fleet Book, Tournament, SFoS, and stuff that's been suggested on the boards basically, including versions that appear on the points system. So far I've finished the Centauri. Maker knows what I'm going to do with it when I'm done, but there are at least three versions of most ships, sometimes more.
