Having a group that stops aliens on Earth sort of exists in Babylon 5. You have Homeguard and in a certain way, Nightwatch.

If you did integrate Torchwood in Babylon 5, it would be darker. Probably veterans of the Earth-Minbari war. Several would be supporters of Clark's Earth First policies.

Or they could be neo xeno nazis.

Now granted racism is not something someone should want to bring into a game, but nazis and racists would still exist in the future.

While homeguard and the like would just be ignorant people scared of aliens, nazis and their kind would still exist in the future. How would they react to aliens on earth soil?

Just a thought to throw in there.
