I think drinking rules should be every fantasy adventure rpg suppliment.

For any of you lefty anti alcohol chuds, get with the program a second.

All adventures, all of them, and I mean all, start in an inn. Check out LOTR, the prancing poney. Or they end up in a pub. Or a pub or inn explodes.

Well, there is always an inn at some point. Inns and pubs and drink have as much a place in the fantasy genre as orcs, elves, dragons, dwarfs, goblins, trolls, or magic swords.

I think the measurements of a good RPG is whether it has rules for dismembering characters, drinking, whether you can play a peasant and still have fun and whether it plays well to heavy metal.

RQ now fullfills all four

weasel_fierce: You sold me on Runequest with this quote. It will become the mantra I use to entice my D&D players over to RQ.

Not to mention the (rather more numerous) righty anti alcohol chuds and the middle-of-the-road anti alcohol chuds.

Zing! :)

Dang. Mage's post wasn't there when I sent this - now I look like I'm jumping on the bandwagon (or possibly, since we're talking about alcohol, "off" the wagon... :) )
