The worst model ever assemebled...

Try the Dwarven War Wagon from Ghost Minatures some time. It looks really cool when it's done, but Ugh what a beast to put together.

Then of course there was the original AOG Sharlin........

I still say the Avioki is a bugger to put together. one slip while gluing and the thing explodes to every corner of the room!

Tell me about it, I have 7 of them...

But one thing I´ve never been able to assemble was the CBT Chimera; those legs are... "special".

But within CTA, I´d definitely say Avioki is probably the hardest. I remember the first B5Wars G´Quan; the body was in two halves between which the engine piece had to be clued, and NOTHING fitted together the way i´t was supposed to. Add to that the "fins" on top and on the bottom...

Interestingly enough, I haven´t had any problems with the Shadow Scouts, but maybe I jsut got lucky with the glue.

No contest. Airfix 1/72nd scale Auster Arctic. Spindly little thing with the wings (supported by bracing struts) attached to the top of the cockpit.

Either a wing fell off, the strut sild into the wrong place or the (3-piece) cockpit glasing disintegrated. This pantomime lasted for three hours

It literally reduced me to tears of frustration...which was pretty bad, even though I was 9 years old at the time...

I think the worst was a Privateer Press mini. The big guy from the Legion of Everbright. His spines and horns were stuck to my fingers more often than not, and his torso didn't join his lower body too well. This is a rare thing IME for a Privateer Press mini for it to not fit. Warjacks are also a pain, but that's because of the weight of the pieces more than fitting.

The old Vorlon Transports are pretty awful for getting those wings aligned right and to stay put. The shadow scout has a nice flat body in comparison. Yes, Transports specifically, cuz the Destroyers have no wiggle room with those folded wings. Shadow scouts are just beastly.

But I think the worst is going to be my Lucius-pattern Warhound... There's gonna be major gapfilling on that thing (but it'll look oh so gorgeous). Also... I received a Vulture gunship from Forgeworld where one of the tail struts was shorter than the other. Well, they do warn people that their models are intended for experienced modelers...

the Carniverian? I'm assembling one for a mate right now - the "webs" of metal between the claws on the legs are a right pain in the posterior. I'm basing it on a piece of cork to make it look like he's on a rocky crag, so I hav to file them off. I'm pinning everything with brass on this guy, the parts are so damned heavy!

the pose of the Everblight guy is nasty BUT I have seen a fracking cool paint job there

Actually it's the big guy with the huge claw and the two-bladed sword.

Ahriman of the Thousand Sons is a pain... because his staff hand never stays on and it's so tiny that it's hard to pin.
