the Warriors...

For AFV's like Bradley, Stryker, Warrior, Etc.
Just make a simple card kept on the side of the table. If you look at modern military forces, most have numerical designations or other means of identification on them. As long as thats reflected on the card and the model (I know this means painting a prepaint god forbid!) there should be no arguement about who was in what when the whatever whatevered.

I do however think that if you spend the points on an infantry section (lets think EFTF here) and a Warrior AFV, 3 models should be left behind in the warrior if it is to retain full functionality... sure, the gunner could get out, or the driver - but lets try to keep these REAL VEHICLES from going all Tardis on us with more storage capacity than it should have.

That can be easily done, and is what I do. Unfortunately, I've played in enough leagues to know many people will not do the same. It's hard enough trying to get some people to keep track of which squad is in which vehicle, splitting teams will make it worse.

Do fire teams have to have 4 members? Why not two teams of 3, or a 3 and a 4?
I don't work or playtest for Mongoose so I don't know all the units that the British will have. The squad card only shows the option of 2 fireteams of 4 though.

Why? (unless the Brit squad has 10 figures). The Warrior carries a crew of three who drive the bus plus 7 who get out from time to time.

A lot of apc's dismount the vehicle commander as the dismounted section leader, generally it's the ones where there is a dedicated squad vehicle that fights as part of the whole infantry section, rather than as an independant unit. As to the idea that it would negate a lot of their training, remember that these guys are primarily squad leaders and have another role as vehicle commander, not the other way around. Usually in a crew of 3, it's only the driver and gunner that stay with the vehicle and have only an emergency role as dismounted infantry (ie- their ride just blew up!) :?

From the last time I was with some armoured infantry on exercise, the Warrior commander is also the Section commander and dismounts with the Section. This is not a 'waste of his training' as he is first and foremost an infantry leader, and needs to be with his men and fighting the battle. The gunner, I believe, then becomes the vehicle commander. The gunner and driver are also both infantrymen first and foremost, with additional training on the vehicle, but as has been said, don't get out unless they really have to.

As for the Section organisation, two 4 man fireteams each equipped with a rifle, underslung grenade launcher, light machine gun and lsw make up the Section. The gun group has disappeared, but the 'golf bag' scale of weapons means that one can easily be created from the Section assets to meet needs.

rafgunner how common is it for a Warrior commander to dismount with the rifle section ? and how does he dismount via the turret hatch or can he get out via the troop compartment rear door? just curious.
