The Valerius Project (New Adira) -FINISHED-

I don´t know if these Ships will be "availible" . ;)

Don´t forget this was a short view 30 years into the Future (so it would be at 2301). And it was a possible future.

So I don´t think that these Ships will appear again in Babylon 5.

in all fairness thoguh, they have had more screen time than about 80% of the ships (them being made up you see) so they could make it

You`re right.
I´ve seen more of them as from the Warlock.

We have to wait what Mongoose thinks about this.
(The same for the "new" Valen Class Cruiser which can jump into the "Quantum Space" (if these is the right name for this in english).)

rumour has it that the Valen is already in development

SPOILER:

Isn't the ship delivering Prince Vintari 1 of this class? Wasn't a Vorchan as I remembered. I think it's slightly larger than a Vorchan judging by comparison with Centauri shuttle. It's after the Crusade Era though (bout 10 years after completion of B5)

Yesss. A Valen would also be nice :D

I personally tink the centauri ships in TLT ARE Vorchans (or at least slightly refitted ones) that they just updated the CGI for to make them look cooler :)

Well, personally I think they're cool, whatever they're called.

@ Locutus:
Maybe you're right. The Centauri are known for keeping designs around for a very long time. Since Vorchans are top ships by the 3rd Age, we can expect their basic design to last for quite some time.

But y'kow what would be REALLY COOL? Urobach's Valerius design somehow become canon and make a movie appearance. That one I'd love to see.

Magnificent looking ship :) I'll have to read the thread through some day with better time, I just run through the pages and checked the images for now. Busy modelling!

Yeah. 30 years is like nothing for race whose top ships are still from like over century ago.

one thing is that the influx of ISA / Vorlon tech likely means that the mighty Centauri ships were in danger of being outclassed - hence the Liati / Adira. An upgrade of the Vorchan along the same lines makes sense. The Drakh are likely to assist (and do in the Legion of Fire books) in enhancing a increasingly powerful Centauri fleet. :)

Considering the fact that a Warlock can totally outgun the Primus (the most powerful canon Centauri ship), I still think the Centauri will win by means of electronic warfare though. A Vorchan probably has enough technological edge over most ships of the EA already.

I agree that the Drakh will assist its pawn in dealing with the ISA and its members. I just think it may be in more subtle, insidious ways, not just firepower. Remember those Shadow auto-pilot pods? Who can say they're not wicked?

an other good question is...
when MGP want to makes the Valen...what would be very nice,indeed....
they perhaps make the TLT Vorchans, next???

when not is this an possible project for me...
do anyone know if there any blueprints from this new Vorchans???
the screenshots from the movie are good but i need more when i am build an ship like this.

damn...i need my camera back. i want to show the possible Liati designs.

Unfortunately, nothing helpful on the net. I've browsed for it, the blueprint isn't there yet.

I didn't realize that we actually don't know all that much about this ship :(

All I do know is that it has 4 thrusters instead of two. The horizontal wings are angled to make it slightly wider. The vertical wings are bent. The position of its twin array is the same a the old vorchans.

I think the Vorchans in TLT are different enough to warrent a new ship - "they are in the show" most ships are not............I would also buy a good new model:)

On the other hand I don't want new desings from Mongoose yet as their eems to be problems getting all the present ships out.

But then we all have faith in our excellent German crftsman / Centauri god to make fab new models........... :)

There is one in Darkness Rising but its probably too good ...............trying it out at present

Leonidas class Strike Cruiser (Vorchan Evolution) Raid
A logical evolution of the Demos, as the latter was a development of the Vorchan, the new ship featured an experimental defence system and staggeringly powerful weapons. As soon as they were ready, they were thrown into the fray and whilst proving extremely effective were usually destroyed in the process. There is however, no shortage of noblemen desperate to command these ships.
Speed: 12
Turn: 2/45o
Hull: 5
Damage: 28/6
Crew: 32/7
Troops: 1

Special Rules: Agile, Atmospheric, Gravitic Energy Grid 2,
Jump Engine
In Service: 2266+

kind of similar to the raid level one i am doing for my Earth/Centauri war supplement. basically i am making the TLT vorchan a new ship at raid level.
