A lot of people have been waiting a long time for this one but we are finally pleased to announce, the Spider God's Bride, Morten Braten's epic R.E Howardesque campaign, is now in print - and it is a big 'un!

Unlike all other Legend books, this one is full-size (rather than the usual digest format), and weighs in at 250 pages of sword and sorcery goodness!

The Spider-God's Bride is a collection of ten blood-red sword and sorcery adventures, inspired by the pulp era tales of Robert E. Howard and Clark Ashton Smith. Venture in the footsteps of Conan the Cimmerian, Satampra Zeiros of Uzuldaroum, Imaro of Nyumbani, and other fabled thieves, reavers and slayers!

Pre-orders have already left the building and are on their way to you right now!

We have also released other Legend books recently you may be interested in, including Gladiators, Pirates and Samurai of Legend.

I can't wait! BTW the upcoming releases section for Legend is looking a bit sparse. What can we look forward to in the second half of the year?

That was quick service, it arrived after only a week. It looks beautiful and is solid as a rock. It seems to be printed on very heavy paper. The maps look great in the full sized book.

Yeah, our current printers are using seriously good quality paper...[/quote]
I noticed the difference in the paper for the first time when I received Gladiators of Legend.

On a slight tangent. Are Mongoose inviting submissions for further adventures in Xoth or is the deal only to release stuff by the original author?

We are not looking for Xoth submissions this time, but have asked the author about where we can go from here (though a third book is already in the works!).

How about a genre book that covers the Swords & Sorcery genre in more generic terms, providing expanded information about how to run a successful Swords & Sorcery campaign - it could be called "Swords of Legend" or something similar...

I'm thinking of a work that builds on the information from the SGB series to add new spells and new creatures suitable for games in that particular subgenre.

Just wanted to post a quick word of praise for the Mongoose staff - I put in an online order for Spider God's Bride on Thursday and it arrived on Friday!!

And it's a cracking book ...

Finally got the book in my corner of the world!

I'd of course already seen the PDF but I have to say that the print version looks great. Has a solid feel, nice paper, I was pleasantly surprised. I think I like it more (gasp!) than if it had been in digest format. Any plans for SGB 2 & 3 to get a similar treatment?

Does the printed version have the initial, poor conversion, or the good corrected conversion? I'd love to buy this in hardcopy, but not if I also need to buy the pdf (or do the conversion myself) for it to be usable in play.

It would be the corrected version mate. That's why it took so long to come in print form. Matt wanted to be sure it was all good before committing to a print run.

The print version is the Spider God's Bride revised and edited version that I wrote. AKA the version from hell, which in the end was worth it :) aka the great version.
