The Littorio and Operation Pedestal

Just to let you all know, today Eye on Mongoose (https://www.facebook.com/groups/195633123795147/) is previewing the Littorio, while Planet Mongoose (http://blog.mongoosepublishing.co.uk/?p=698) is previewing the SS Ohio and going through Operation Pedestal...

The real Ohio arrived a bit late, though admittedly not several months late. :)

From the report on Operation Pedestal published on 10th April 2013 and duplicated on 12th March 2014:
Two destroyers, Ledbury and Penn (Bramham would later take the place of Ledbury) took position either side of the Ohio and were lashed to the tanker, forming a type of trimaran.
Will this sort of action be possible in VaS 2?

Not only will it be possible, we are looking at getting a miniature done of the Ohio lashed together with the two destroyers!

I'd rather see some released miniatures to be honest, not more digital previews and year-old reshashes...

Its a matter of time till mongoose changes the release dates again from march into april. Like it has done for the past 10 months with the Denmark Strait set...

I posted a (enthousiastic) review about the River Plate set on my blog in august, at the time of writing the release of Denmark Strait was planned to be released in July 2013. Releasing stuff a full year later than promised and extending release dates month after month after month after month after month is not helping to sell your product. I placed an order for the Denmark Strait set in may 2013 and hyped a lot of people at my gaming club for the mini's. By now, my order for the DS set has been canceled 4 months ago because the release dates on the site seems to mean nothing at all and the enthousiasm for it has all but died out at my club. We started different games instead.

Sorry for the rant, just very disappointed in how mongoose is handling the release of this game :(

To be fair, the game hasn't really been released yet :)

However, I can give you something to get excited about. A little later today you will indeed see some new models go on the web site for sale!

I should have said miniatures instead of game. :)

I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Well, I filled my basket with the new goodies :) Now just waiting for the Denmark Strait set to fill it out so I can order it in one go (no point in paying the mailman twice :)

I'm sad.... Nelson, Denmark Strait and Sleswig-Holstein were all due april according to the release shedule. Nelson and SH now have been postponed till June and the Denmark Strait set has been postponed to next month for the 14th(?) time now? :( :( :(

Been a hold up on casting - don't worry, they are on the way!

Cant wait for the Nelson's Mat, I wonder who will be the fastest on the trigger the moment they are released...probably me 8)

On topic though...the Littorio looks fantastic and if the other Battleships released already by Mongoose are anything to guage them by the actual model itself will be a work of art.

Keep up the great work guys! :D :D :D
