I think your scale is off a bit.

An Air/Raft is 4 Dtons... That is 54-56 cubic meters, about the size of a delivery van.

A 100 ton ship will be about the size of a small supermarket or a 2-story apartment building.

I think Matrix was trying to make a relative comparison in sizes with modern examples, rather than direct comparisons...
