The future of the SST RPG?

A few days back I found my copy of the SST RPG core book while going through my old gaming stuff, and upon remembering it had only ever been played once I tried to get a group togheter again. So far it looks good, I did some digging on here and found the links by LBH (many thanks for those), but also heard that MGP is remaking SST for the Traveller system.

Now, is this true or not? The post I read it in was about a year old so it might very well have changed. So, does anyone know if MGP have completely dropped the SST RPG or is it going to do a comeback?

I think they dropped the idea of SST using Traveller.

Traveller is partly inspired by SST, so you could probably use Traveller straight. Or d20, depending on your preference.

Ah, that's kinda sad. Was hoping for them to pick it up again, is about the only d20 game I ever liked...

Oh well, I suppose I'll have to get my hands to do some houseruling then :lol:

Dang.. all this talk about SST makes me miss that game so much... I guess I was kind of a jerk when they first said they were gonna pull it, but gah.. A game like that only comes along every so often.. -_- Kudos to Mongoose for puttin' her together anyway. I think I can finally let go of some of that bitterness I felt for a long time. Tis better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.

I have to wonder what kinda of demand there would be for SST if they brought it back...or for the PPP's figures they had planned on doing.
