Mongoose
As I prepare to go off to college, and begin making plans on how to take my various miniature wargame based hobbies along for the ride, I have begun to realize how terrible it is that Mongoose didn't decide to make a miniature range(or buy out another range.... ::hint hint: Navwar ::hint hint:
. I have willing gamers here in New Jersey that are interested in playing, and dont care much for what scale the minis are in(hence the superior Navwar is our first choice). But here is the dilemma:
Apparently, Navwar is the wrong scale in the US. English gamers seem to favor 1/3000, while US gamers seem to favor a larger scale(1/2400)(or was it smaller?). This wouldn't be a problem normally, but since I'm going to college, I'll have to find a new gaming group that plays VAs(which is in itself a difficult task), and if I do happen to find one, chances are they wont be playing with 1/3000 scale minis. Now I could just man-up and get the 'proper american' scale ships, but if I did that, and then decided to do study abroad(or get based in Germany through the Air Force (if I make it)) I would end up with an entirely wrong scale!
Now I know life isn't entirely about me, but does anyone else feel the same way/have the same problem?
