Penned by M J Dougherty, The Borderland explores a whole subsector, one where you can make your fortune - or lose it just as quickly!

Perfect for the Pirates of Drinax campaign, the Borderland is the start of a new line that will fill this area of space with adventure and excitement, providing referees with everything they need to explore the different worlds of this subsector.

I haven't had the chance to read in any depth, but so far, I'm impressed!

I hope the cluster books give each cluster's worlds the same loving treatment that Exocet got. That would make me very interested in buying them.

Looks like the book is missing two UWPs on page 20. (Cordan, Umemii)

(Yes, I can get them from Aslan or other sources, but in case you decide to do an updated version, this is one for the errata.)

Just picked this up a few days ago. Some useful information in this supplement, but overall, I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed. As a GM, I have little time to flesh out countless worlds, and create my own adventures. I am planning on running Pirates of Drinax, and was very grateful that the author included a (however brief) description of a handful of worlds, along with an adventure seed for each world. I had hoped that The Borderland would contain at least a similar quantity of descriptions for each world. Something that gave me the beginnings of ideas for the world, with maybe a paragraph or two that helped make each world unique. Sadly, this was not part of the design approach for this book. I would implore Mongoose to consider including some description of the worlds that are the subject of the next book(s).

All things considered, there wasn't a whole lot of info that couldn't have been found in other Mongoose supplements. It's not a terrible book, just not what I was looking for when I bought it.
